Fair and Festivals of the Harvest of Requena
Requena
At the end of August Requena celebrates its patron saint's fiestas in honour of the Virgen de los Dolores and its Fair and Fiesta de la Vendimia, declared to be of Tourist Interest and heir to the old Medieval Fair. This is one of the most important fairs in Spain, and events such as the offering of flowers, the treading and blessing of the first grapes, the medieval market in the Barrio de la Villa, horse rides and parades, bullfights, concerts and verbenas are held.
